Specialty Vehicle Engineering has taken the wraps off their 2018 YENKO/SC Stage II Camaro. Based on the Camaro SS 1LE, the model has a unique exterior which features a carbon fiber hood, custom graphics, and 20-inch wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S performance tires.

Moving inside, drivers will find an assortment of minor styling tweaks. Highlights include Recaro sport seats, special doorsill plates, and embroidered front floor mats.


Bigger changes occur underneath the hood as power is provided by an LT1 V8 engine which has been enlarged to displace 6.8-liters. The engine has also been equipped with a supercharger, a new crankshaft, CNC ported heads, and forged aluminum pistons. Last but not least, the company installed new rods and an upgraded fuel system with new injectors.

Thanks to these modifications, the engine produces 1,000 hp and 1,185 Nm)of torque. This makes the model significantly more powerful the Camaro SS which comes standard with a 6.2-liter LT1 V8 engine developing 455 hp and 616 Nm of torque.


Also, the car has Magnetic Ride Control, an electronic limited-slip differential and a “performance-tuned suspension with unique bushings, springs and stabilizer bars.” Other highlights include an upgraded cooling system and a Brembo braking system with rotors that measure 14.5-inches up front and 13.3-inches in the rear.

Production will be limited to 25 units and all models will be coupes that are equipped with a manual transmission. There’s no word on pricing but the car is currently available to order.
