The all-new C8 Audi A6
Avant is expected to make its debut at this year’s Geneva Motor Show.
These spy photos provided to us show a test mule being tested alongside its
sedan sibling, also seen in prototype form.
Despite having some camo applied, the test mule
looks nearly production ready, with many cues clear to see. The front fascia
follows a similar theme seen on Audi’s newest models, adopting a larger and
more angular singleframe grille paired with sharper headlights.
The profile looks pretty similar to the outgoing C7
as well, although the side mirrors have been moved further down to the doors.
As for the rear, there are now slimmer taillights with graphics inspired by the
new A7 Sportback, along with a pair of bumper-integrated tailpipes.
The new A6 range will likely be underpinned by the
MLB Evo platform, which should result in some significant weight savings from
its predecessor. Expect the usual line-up of four- and six-cylinder engines running
on petrol or diesel to be offered. High-performance S and RS models will join
the fray later on.
