Buick has finally detailed the US-spec version of the 2019 Envision SUV. Buick has updated the 2019 Envision with new front and rear ends that are now more “sculpted”, giving the SUV a stronger visual character. The revisions also include a new front grille, as well as new 19-inch wheel choices.

The range now gets HID headlights as standard on the 2.5L models while the more powerful 2.0L Turbo ones get LED headlamps. Both versions benefit from Buick’s new LED signature lighting.

Base models continue using a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, paired to a six-speed automatic transmission. Power is unchanged, at 197 hp and 192 lb-ft of torque. Front- and all-wheel drive versions are on offer.

Buick has added a new nine-speed automatic transmission for the turbocharged 2.0-liter models. The 2.0-liter turbo unit develops 252 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque, 35 lb-ft more than the outgoing model. Buick claims the 2019 Envision 2.0L Turbo is now just under half-a-second quicker during the 0-60 mph procedure.

Pricing for the 2019 Buick Envision starts from US$ 32,990 (excluding tax, title, license and dealer fees), with all trim levels adjusted to attract existing Encore owners and buyers who consider a Buick for the first time. Every Envision model comes equipped with an eight-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 4G-LTE hotspot and a limited trial of the OnStar services.

Sales of the 2019 Buick Envision are set to begin in the spring of 2018, with the range to include the Preferred (US$ 34,495), Essence (US$ 36,795), Premium (US$ 41,695) and Premium II (US$ 44,595).
