Ducati India has officially commenced the
pre-bookings of its track tamer, the Ducati Panigale V4. The bookings are open
for the first 20 units in 2018.
Ducati has launched the Panigale V4 at INR
20,53,000; and the Panigale V4 S at INR 25,29,000 (both ex-showroom India) with
deliveries starting in July 2018. If the customer makes the reservation before
31st May, it will include exclusive, numbered memorabilia on delivery. The
first two customers to buy the Panigale V4 will win a sponsored Ducati Riding
Experience racetrack course that will be held in June 2018 in Malaysia at the
Sepang MotoGP circuit. Under the supervision of professional instructors, the
two participants will learn how to get the most out of their Panigale V4 under
different riding conditions.
The Ducati Panigale V4 is the Italian brand’s first
production Ducati motorcycle to mount a 4-cylinder engine, derived directly
from the MotoGP Desmosedici. The 1,103 cc 90° V4 with Desmodromic timing,
delivers 214 PS at 13,000 rpm. This makes the Panigale V4 the most powerful
bike in the segment. A peak torque of 124 Nm comes in at 10,000 rpm.
Standard features includes Riding Modes, Power
Modes, Bosch Cornering ABS EVO, Ducati Traction Control (DTC) EVO, Ducati Wheelie
Control (DWC) EVO, Ducati Slide Control (DSC), Engine Brake Control (EBC) EVO,
and Auto tyre calibration. The Panigale S comes with Ohlins suspension
featuring the Smart EC 2.0 system with a new adjustment interface, and
top-drawer components such as forged aluminium wheels and lithium ion battery.
This makes it 3 kg lighter than the standard V4, at 195 kg, kerb.
