Hero MotoCorp
will employ the Xtreme 200R’s powerplant in the production version of its
off-road friendly bike, the Hero XPulse.
Hero MotoCorp unveiled the XPulse concept at the
2017 EICMA show in Milan, Italy. The dual-sport design of the motorcycle is
ideal for both urban and off-road use.
The production version of the XPulse will have a
different state of tune, and perhaps different gearing too, in order to tackle
rough terrain. Hero will reportedly launch the motorcycle in mid-2018. However,
expect the Indian brand to showcase the concept at the 2018 Auto Expo as well.
When the brand launches the bike, it would be a less-expensive and lighter
alternative to the Royal Enfield Himalayan. The bike is likely to command a
premium over the Xtreme 200R, whose price will be out at the Expo.
