There have been conflicting reports in regards to a
potential high(er)-performance LC F version of Lexus’ latest coupe, but whether
these images confirm its development or depict something else, is anyone’s
guess right now.
Photographed by a LexusEnthusiast reader, the LC
prototype sports modified front and rear bumpers, and different side skirts. If
not the range-topping version of the car, another explanation could be that
what we’re looking at is an F Sport variant.
Nevertheless, the rumored Lexus LC F is expected to
use a new 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine under that long hood. The unit should
produce about 600 horsepower and 637 Nm of torque, which would
make it more powerful than the iconic LFA.
Another scenario talks about a potential hybrid
powertrain being used in the Lexus LC F, which would join the existing 500h
version of the car, as the second electrified model. Regardless of its
mechanicals, the LC F will be the top-of-the-line variant of the lineup.
The mysterious prototype could turn out to be a
different flavor of the car, including the aforementioned F Sport, but whatever
the case, it could joined by a convertible version, too by 2020.
