Maruti Suzuki has launched a taxi variant of the
Maruti Celerio dubbed the Maruti Celerio Tour H2. The Maruti Celerio Tour H2 is
based on the latest facelifted Maruti Celerio that was introduced in October
2017.
The Maruti Celerio Tour H2 does away with chrome
garnish for the mesh grille, front fog lamps, body coloured exterior mirrors
and alloy wheels. The basic, steel wheels are devoid of wheel caps in the taxi
variant. The Celerio Tour H2 slots between the entry-level Celerio LXI and the
Celerio LXI(O).
The Celerio Tour H2 is powered by the K10B 1.0-litre
three-cylinder petrol engine that produces 68 PS at 6,000 rpm and 90 Nm
of torque at 3,500 rpm. A 5-speed manual transmission sends power to the front
wheels. The fuel economy is rated at 23.10 km/l. The CNG version of the K10B
engine and the 5-speed AGS automated manual transmission options are
unavailable in the Tour H2 variant. Maruti Suzuki has fitted it with a speed
limiting device that restricts the top speed to 80 km/h.
The Maruti Celerio Tour H2 costs INR 4,20,693
(ex-showroom Delhi). It is cheaper by about INR 13,000 than the Celerio LXi(O)
variant.
