Renault wants to take advantage of the increased
demand in EVs across Europe, so they’re reportedly prepping a more potent
version of the Zoe. Said to be named the Zoe R110 and to arrive at the 2018
Geneva Motor Show next month, the zero-emission supermini
should put out 107 hp, or 16 hp more than the current model.
This isn’t the RS version of the Zoe that we were
expecting, which could debut over the next two years, according to a previous
report, but it may cater to those looking for more power. It’s unclear yet
whether its batteries will be improved to offer more range over the
NEDC-estimated 402 km of the updated Zoe Z.E. 40, though.
The French automaker is believed to offer the new
R110 (name unconfirmed) in two trim levels, Dynamique Nav and Signature Nav,
which means there won’t be an entry-level Expression. This gives us an idea of
what we should expect in terms of standard equipment: 16-inch alloy wheels,
automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers and a hands-free keycard, among
others.
Pricing for the rumored Zoe R110 will, in all
likelihood, be higher than the Dynamique Nav R90 Z.E. 40, which can be had from
£ 17,845 (US$ 24,885), after the government grant, in the United Kingdom.
