The Tamo Racemo± has made its world debut at Auto Expo 2018. The “±” variant is a pure electric variant of the Tamo Racemo. The Tamo Racemo± is the third production unit of the Tamo Racemo after the standard variant (001) and the track-focused variant (002) called Tamo Racemo+ – both from the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.

The MOFlex platform supports electrification and Tata Motors is showcasing the same with this variant. The Tamo Racemo± features a number of visual changes from the first two production units to show its uniqueness. For it’s an electric vehicle, the contrasting colour of the two-tone colour scheme is blue.

At the front, there’s a nose cone in place of a grille, which typical of electric cars. The front bumper is unique but inspired by that of the Tamo Racemo+. Moving to the sides, the underbody skirts have a different design, there are blue ‘EV’ decals and 17-inch black wheels at the front and 18-inch blue wheels at the rear. At the rear, the portion of the central exhaust tailpipe is closed and the bumper has a cleaner design.

The Tamo Racemo± measures 3,985 mm in length, 1,824 mm in width and 1,208 mm in height. It is 150 mm longer and 14 mm wider than the Tamo Racemo. Powering the two-seat sports coupe is a 150 kW electric motor that operates at a peak voltage of 400 V. Both slow charging (AC) and fast charging (DC) options are there in the EV. The Tamo Racemo has a maximum speed of 200 km/h and a driving range of 350 km.
