TVS Motor Company has showcased the TVS Apache RTR 200 Fi Ethanol at the 2018 Auto Expo in Greater Noida. Here are the images of the bike from the show.

The TVS Apache RTR 200 Fi Ethanol runs on E85 Ethanol fuel. Ethanol is domestically produced from renewable plant sources. It is non-toxic, biodegradable, and safe to handle, store and transport. An oxygenated fuel that contains 35% oxygen, Ethanol reduces nitrogen oxide emissions from combustion. Apart from this, Ethanol as a fuel also helps reducing carbon monoxide emissions, particulate matter and sulphur dioxide. Use of Ethanol as a fuel will also reduce dependence on the import of petroleum and increase energy security.

To make the bike as reliable as its petrol-powered counterpart, TVS says it has made technical improvements too. Twin-Spray-Twin-Port EFI technology feeds fuel to the engine. This ensures better driveability, faster throttle response and further guarantees reduction in emission levels. With these factors in place, the engine operation becomes linear leading to better usable power under varied ambient conditions. The engine generates a peak power of 21 PS at 8,500 rpm, and a peak torque of 18.1 Nm at 7,000 rpm (same as the standard Fi bike). The bike has an ascending top speed of 129 km/h under test conditions, which is the same as the Apache RTR 200 Fi 4V.

The TVS Apache RTR 200 Fi Ethanol borrows design cues and cycle parts from the normal fuel injected version. The fuel tank bears green graphics on the tank with a stickers to differentiate from the standard bike.
