Bajaj Auto has launched the 2018 Bajaj Avenger
Street 180 in India at an ex-showroom, Maharashtra price of INR 83,475. The new
cruiser replaces the Avenger Street 150.
The 2018 Bajaj Avenger Street 180 features roadster design
headlamp with LED DRL, that’s similar to the 2018 Street 220 variant. The rear
grab rail is now rubberised. The graphics are new, and are akin to its elder
brother. The Avenger badging is larger as well.
The 2018 Bajaj Avenger Street 180 draws power from a
180 cc single cylinder DTS-i engine. It produces 15.5 PS of power at 8,500 rpm
and 13.7 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. A 5-speed gearbox transfers the power to
the wheel. The 17-inch front and the 15-inch rear rims are shod with 90-section
and 130-section Eurogrip tyres respectively.
With a 13-litre fuel tank, the cruiser weighs 150
kg, kerb. The front end gets telescopic fork, while the twin rear shock
absorbers have 12% additional travel. A 260 mm front disc and a 130 mm rear
drum handle braking duties. There is no ABS yet. Ebony Black and Spicy Red are
the two colour variants available. The bike is approximately INR 3,000 more
expensive than the Street 150.
