Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has announced the prices for the 2018 Honda CB 125 Shine SP. The Drum variant costs INR 62,032, disc variant costs 64,518, and the CBS variant will set you back by INR 66,508. All prices ex-showroom, Delhi.

For 2018, the Shine SP comes with a newly designed tank shroud and new graphics on the bodywork. Honda has equipped the bike with a new analogue-digital combo cluster which has a Service Due indicator and clock, apart from the usual slew of information. The Japanese brand unveiled the 2018 iteration at this year’s Auto Expo in Greater Noida.

Powering the 2018 Honda CB 125 Shine SP is a 124.73 cc single cylinder HET engine. It makes 10.16 bhp of power at 7,500 rpm and 10.30 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. The engine works in conjunction with a 5-speed transmission, which drives the wheel via a low-maintenance seal chain. This type of chain has 1.6 times more life when compared to a normal one.

The 18-inch split-soke alloy wheels are shod with 80-section front and rear low-rolling resistance tubeless tyres. For braking, the motorcycle employs 130 mm drum on both ends, and a 240 mm disc with CBS as an option. The diamond type frame rides on telescopic front fork, and twin rear shock absorbers. The tank can hold 10.5 litres of fuel. Notable rivals include 2018 Bajaj Discover 125 and Hero Glamour FI in the premium 125 cc commuter segment.
