Renault won’t pull the plug on the Zoe anytime soon,
as the electric hatchback has now
been ushered into 2018. Launched in the United Kingdom, the 2018 Renault Zoe is
offered in four flavors, with a starting price of £ 18,420 (US$ 25,677). This
includes the government grant but not the monthly battery lease.
Called Dynamique Nav and offered with the new R110
electric motor that was detailed prior to its Geneva Motor Show presentation,
the entry-level car features plenty of standard gear. The list includes
automatic headlights and wipers, LED DRLs, rear parking sensors, cruise
control, 7-inch R-Link infotainment with TomTom sat-nav and voice controls,
climate control and hands-free keycard.
Using the same electric motor, but adding more
equipment, leads us to the Signature Nav. This costs at least £ 20,670 (US$ 28,814)
and brings leather upholstery, Bose audio system, heated front seats, reversing
camera and electrically operated side mirrors.
In addition to the R110, makes 109 PS and 225 Nm of torque, the 2018
Renault Zoe can be had with the Q90 option as well, which can be plugged in at
fast public chargers. This has an estimated real-world range of 280 km in the summer, whereas the R110 can be
driven for 299 km between charges, under the same circumstances.
