The 2019 Kia
Sorento can now be ordered across the United States. It carries an MSRP of US$ 25,990 for the entry-level L grade, which gets a standard three-row layout and
a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Powering it is a 2.4-liter
in-line four GDI engine, rated at 185 Hp, which works together with a revised
6-speed automatic gearbox.
Described as being “more robustly equipped”, the LX
trim starts from US$ 27,490 with FWD and US$ 29,290 with AWD. This flavor can also be had with a 3.3-liter V6 GDI
engine, which makes 290 Hp, and is married to a new 8-speed automatic
transmission – priced from US$ 31,290 and US$ 33,090 with FWD and AWD, respectively.
Building upon the LX V6 and adding extra equipment,
such as the projection fog lamps, Lane Keeping Assist and Driver Attention
Warning, the Sorento EX costs at least US$ 35,590. This is for the front-wheel
drive model, whereas adding the all-wheel drive system would set you back for
at least US$ 37,390. As optional extras, this trim level gets Parking Distance
Warning, a Harman Kardon sound system and AVN 5.0 navigation with Android Auto
and Apple CarPlay support.
The 2019 Kia Sorento SX benefits from all of the
features of the EX, to which it adds a standard wireless phone charger, AVN 5.0
navigation, a premium sound system and two-way powered lumbar support for the
front passenger seat. It starts at US$ 39,990 FWD and US$ 41,790 AWD, and it also
comes with LED headlights with High Beam Assist and Low Beam Assist.
Finally, the fully loaded SXL adds LED headlights
and LED fog lamps, and can be had from US$ 44,690 with FWD and US$ 46,490 with AWD.
