The 2019 Ram 1500 is an all-new vehicle with a new look, a mild-hybrid powertrain, and more technology. While there’s a lot to like with the new Ram 1500, pricing has been announced, and the pickup’s not exactly what we would call cheap.

Pricing for the base Crew Tradesman 4×2 starts at US$ 33,340 including the US$ 1,645 destination fee. That’s US$ 4,850 more than the entry-level 2018 model. That will get consumers into a pickup that features the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine with the eTorque mild hybrid system.

Sadly, Ram claims that the V6 powertrain is a “late availability” model. So consumers that want to get into the cheapest Ram 1500 will have to wait a bit longer to get their truck. Moving up to the available 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine with the eight-speed automatic gearbox is an additional US$ 1,195. That powertrain is available in pickups that are currently heading out to dealers. Going with the V8 engine and the eTorque mild hybrid system costs an extra US$ 1,995. But that is also a “late availability” model.

Those wanting to go with the range-topping model will find themselves in the Ram 1500 Crew Limited 4×4 LWB that starts at US$ 59,335. Last year’s Limited trim was the priciest Ram 1500 on sale and cost US$ 54,690. Once again, the 2019 model year is more expensive – US$ 4,645 – than last year’s variant.
