Volvo
will be using the The New York Auto Show to stage the North American debut of the 2019 V60.
Originally unveiled in Geneva, the redesigned wagon follows in the footsteps of
the V90 as it adopts a stylish new design and a more luxurious interior.
The V60 Momentum will come
nicely equipped with LED headlights, a panoramic glass roof and 18-inch alloy
wheels. The model will also have a leather-wrapped steering wheel and power
heated front seats with leather upholstery. Other highlights include a
dual-zone automatic climate control system, power folding rear seats, Iron Ore
aluminum trim and a Sensus infotainment system with a 9-inch display.
The V60 rides on the SPA platform and will be
offered with two different engines in the United States. The entry-level model
has a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 250 hp and 349 Nm of torque. It is paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission and
front-wheel drive.
Buyers can also opt for the T6 variant which has a
turbocharged and supercharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine developing 316 hp and 399 Nm)of torque. The eight-speed gearbox carries over
but all-wheel drive system is standard on the more powerful wagon.
Besides the V60, Volvo will showcase the 2019 XC40
Inscription. The model comes with additional equipment and full details will be
released at the show.
While Volvo is being coy on specifics, the UK-spec
XC40 Inscription has LED headlights, a power tailgate and matte silver skid
plates. The crossover also comes equipped with a 12.3-inch digital instrument
cluster, a power driver’s seat and leather upholstery. Drivers will also find a
dual-zone automatic climate control system, a 10-speaker premium audio system
and a 9-inch Sensus infotainment system with GPS navigation.
