Audi has dropped a teaser image previewing a new concept that it will launch for Gran Turismo Sport. A quick look at the hashtags in the Facebook post offers us a rough idea of what to expect. For starters, we know that the vehicle will be the latest addition in the long-running Vision GT series. Additionally, the concept will be badged as an e-tron model and doesn’t appear to be based on any real-life Audi.
Looking at the side profile, a towering rear wing dominates much of the car’s design. Elsewhere, it is evident that we are looking at a two-door coupe designed that’s hugging the ground and sports a front splitter, a rear diffuser and large wheels. Plus, the quattro logos show that it will be all-wheel drive.

Although many other car manufacturers released Vision Gran Turismo concepts a number of years ago, Audi is fashionably late to the party. Here’s hoping that the concept’s launch on April 9 will prove worth the wait.

Since it’s late to the game, it better look good, too. Rival manufacturers such as Mercedes, McLaren, Bugatti – even Hyundai – have already launched extremely eye-catching virtual supercars for the latest iteration of PS4’s most iconic game.
