One of the main premieres at this year’s Geneva
Motor Show is the BMW M8 Gran Coupe. Brought to the largest motoring event of
the year in concept form, it will headline the upcoming luxury four-door coupe
that will be launched after the two-door.
Nobody outside the company knows exactly when the
all-new M8 Gran Coupe will be launched, but once ready, it will face some stiff
competition from the Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe. Affalterbach’s take on this
niche is ready, and it also made its debut in Geneva but in production form, so
it will arrive before the BMW to challenge the likes of the Porsche Panamera.
Using the concept as a starting point, Aksyonov
Nikita has taken a shot at what the production M8 Gran Coupe might look like.
It sports a blue shade, realistic windows without the dark tint look, door
handles and larger side mirrors, and does away with the yellowish headlights
and gold trim on the kidney grille and wheels.
M versions of the coupe and convertible 8-Series are
also expected, and all three will probably share the new M5’s powertrain. The
twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 makes 600 PS and 750 Nm of torque in
the M5, but it’s unknown whether the M8 will have an identical output.
