Roughly a month after the Jeep Grand Commander
premiered in China, the automaker has finally revealed the vehicle’s spacious
interior.
Designed to comfortably seat seven-passengers across
its three rows, the Grand Commander will soon be the largest Jeep model on
offer in China. Fittingly, Jeep has ensured that the cabin is full of all the
technology and luxuries which Chinese customers demand.
These initial pictures show the vehicle’s cabin with
a two-tone leather design, where the upper half of the dashboard and door
panels are bathed in dark brown leather. As for the rest of the interior, it
features lightly-colored leather.
We can see that the Grand Commander has a
large touchscreen infotainment system and an instrument cluster with dials
illuminated in blue.
Jeep first previewed the Grand Commander with the
Yuntu concept from early 2017. The exterior design is typical Jeep and includes
squared-off wheel arches, familiar headlights, a chrome front grille, and dual
tailpipes. For the most part, it looks exactly as you’d expect a large Jeep
model to look.
While the Grand Commander appears to have the right
stuff to prove popular in the United States, it actually won’t make it
stateside. Instead, U.S. buyers will have to wait until the Wagoneer and Grand
Wagoneer arrive if they want a seven-seat Jeep.
