Jeep’s stand at the Geneva Motor Show will be packed
with its latest models, shown for the first time on European soil. The
highlight will of course be the all-new, fourth generation Wrangler. Jeep
claims they were able to improve the off-road icon in terms of comfort and
everyday usability but at the same time they made it even more capable for when
the tarmac stops.
Jeep didn’t share the powertrain details of the
Euro-spec Wrangler but said that it will be available with either of the two
advanced four-wheel drive systems we get in the States. The range will include
Sport, Sahara and the more off-road capable Rubicon model.
Next to it will be the 2019 Jeep Cherokee. Armed
with a new exterior design which finally fixes Cherokee’s biggest problem,
meaning that face, Jeep’s updated mid-sized SUV now wants a second chance in
the market.
Together with the exterior restyle, Jeep has also
updated the interior of the new Cherokee with higher-quality materials, the
latest UConnect systems with an up to 8.4-inch screen and a hands-free power
tailgate. There’s even the option of a large dual-pane sunroof that extends
from the windshield to the rear of the vehicle.
The third debut will be the Jeep Grand Cherokee
Trackhawk, which is set to launch in Europe at the end of 2018’s first
semester. This beast of an SUV is powered by Hellcat’s supercharged 6.2-liter
V8 complete with 700 hp and 868 Nm of torque. This ridiculous
powertrain allows the Trackhawk to catapult itself from 0 to 100 km/h in
3.7 seconds and it won’t stop accelerating until it hits 289 km/h.
The stand will be completed with special edition
models like the Compass Night Eagle and the Grand Cherokee S so be sure to be
here in order to find out all the details when the Geneva Motor Show opens its
gates on March 6.
