A new electric bike will be
launching via the Indiegogo crowdfunding website designed by Kvaern. The Kvaern
pedal assisted electric bike will be available to early bird backers equipped
with a 250 W motor € 999 or approximately US$ 1,200 Offering a considerable saving
of € 850 off the recommended retail price once the Indiegogo campaign comes to
an end.
On a single charge the Kvaern electric bike will
offer a speed of up to 15 mph and a range of 30 miles thanks to the integrated
rechargeable battery. Kvaern will also be offering Indiegogo backers the
ability to add an optional 360wH battery and solar panel to their pledge for an
extra € 449 or US$ 548, enabling owners to power their bike using sunlight alone.
