The last time we saw an 03 Sedan prototype, it was undergoing
cold weather tests, much like this one here. However, we can see
that the car hasn’t been wrapped so thoroughly, and aside from showing a little
paint job, the rear diffuser is fully visible, looking a lot more sporty than
it did on the concept.
In fact, the bottom of the rear
fascia was drawn up in a somewhat elegant manner, boasting two small chrome
tailpipes at each end of the bumper. In reality, the tailpipes are positioned a
lot lower and are much thicker. So in a way, they’re more conservative while also
looking more aggressive.
The rest of the car is about the same as it was when
we last saw it, so we’ll have to wait until Lynk & Co takes off most, if
not all the camouflage in order to assess just how different it looks compared
to the concept. With the interior, we expect to see a digital instrument
cluster, a large touchscreen display, modern-day safety and connectivity
technologies, including the automaker’s app-based sharing feature.
Powering the 03 Sedan should be a turbocharged
three-cylinder 1.5-liter petrol unit, as well as a turbo 2.0-liter four-pot,
with a plug-in hybrid option to arrive at a later date, based on the 1.5-liter
engine. Apparently, no diesel engines will be available.
According to reports, we won’t see the 03 Sedan
launching across global markets at least until the year 2020.
