We’ve seen Rolls-Royce models drawing their
inspiration from a wide array of themes: yachts, jets, fashion, music, even
“wisdom” – whatever that might mean.
It’s a safe bet that a fair number of them have
found homes along the shores of the Persian Gulf. But this one may be the most
fitting yet, as it’s an extended-wheelbase Ghost saloon that’s been specially
crafted by the Bespoke department in Goodwood and is supposed to be inspired by
Islamic Art.
Finished in two-tone Silver Sand and Arctic White,
the Ghost features a dual coach-line running down the length of its shoulder
and rides on a set of split-five-spoke 21-inch two-tone alloys. Inside, it’s
done up in Seashell and Smoke Grey with an Islamic architecture motif inlaid on
the fold-down seat-back picnic tables and dashboard and embroidered into the
headrests and rear arm rest as well.
The Ghost is powered by a 6.6-liter twin-turbo V12
that may not be long for this world, but certainly provides more than adequate
oomph for the big sedan: 562 horsepower and 605 lb-ft of torque, to be exact,
that are channeled to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic
transmission.
This one-off creation is for sale at Abu Dhabi
Motors, the brand’s largest showroom, situated in the vital market of the
United Arab Emirates. But even if this treatment isn’t your particular cup of
Earl Gray, Rolls-Royce Bespoke will cook up one for you with inspiration from
just about any theme you could imagine.
