Royal Enfield has showcased an accessorised version
of the Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X at its launch event. The display
motorcycle sports the ‘Whimsical White’ colour, with matching seat stitching
and rim stickers.
Its accessories include a small flyscreen, crash guard, and a
pillion backrest with cushion. The accessories will be available within next
month. However, the flyscreen is available on sale currently. It helps in
reducing the wind blast to a certain extent, and is compatible with the
standard Thunderbird as well. The back-rest has a black finish and has a
sportier design than the one in the normal variant. It also features the Royal
Enfield logo. The twin-pod cluster is the same unit as the regular variant, but
misses out on the hazard lamp switch.
The Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X comes with a flat
handlebar for sportier riding stance. The rear-view mirrors are circular units,
like the ones in the Himalayan. The Gunslinger seat is a single piece unit. The
9-spoke alloy wheels are shod with MRF Zapper tubeless tyres, measuring
90-section at the front and 120-section at the rear. Brakes include 280 mm
front disc and a 240 mm rear disc, without ABS.
The engine is the same as the one in the regular
Thunderbird. The 346 cc single cylinder mill makes 19.8 bhp of power at 5,250
rpm; and 28 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. A 5-speed gearbox handles the
transmission duty. The Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X costs INR 1,56,849,
ex-showroom, Delhi. It is INR 8,000 dearer than the standard Thunderbird 350.
