Hyundai has introduced the facelifted
Hyundai i20 Active along with the facelifted Hyundai i20.
Unlike the Hyundai i20, the Hyundai i20 Active has
not received a new front-end. On the sides, the crossover-styled Active variant
no longer features the unique star-shaped fuel filler cap with gunmetal finish.
At the rear, the 2018 Hyundai i20 Active has an updated bumper with new faux
skid plate, redesigned tail lamps and reworked tailgate with the integrated
license plate. Hyundai has introduced a two-tone colour scheme in which the
roof is painted in Phantom Black colour.
The pre-facelift Hyundai i20 Active is available in
Europe with 100 PS 1.4L petrol, 90 PS 1.4L CRDi diesel and 100 PS/120 PS 1.0L T-GDi
petrol engines. Hyundai has announced the facelifted Hyundai i20 Active with
100 PS 1.4L and 100 PS/120 PS 1.0L T-GDI petrol engines. The 1.4L engine is
paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. The 1.0L engine sends the drive to
the wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission (100 PS version)/6-speed manual
transmission (120 PS version) or a new optional 7-speed dual-clutch
transmission. The company’s Idle Stop and Go (ISG) stop-start system is
standard in the new model.
The 2018 Hyundai i20 Active will go on sale in
Germany in June.
