Lada Niva is still alive and kicking. It has remained virtually
unchanged beneath the skin since 1977, when it first hit the assembly lines.
However, it has welcomed a few updates over the years, such as air
conditioning, along with a new name: 4×4.
The Russian automaker that’s owned by AvtoVAZ has
come up with something new for 2018, too, and it’s depicted in the two images
that follow, but can you tell what that is? If you answered the camo paint,
you’re right, as this is a 29,000 Russian Rubles (€ 406 / US$ 499) accessory, which
is described using words such as “combat” and “brutal” by the car company.
Created using a black-finished surface as a blank
canvas, to which two shades of green are being added, it’s joined by a black
disc coating on models equipped with alloy wheels.
we’ll admit that it’s not the most exciting
update that we have come across during these past few years, but it’s still a
nice addition to the off-roader that has a starting price of 534,900 Rubles (€ 7,490 / US$ 9,200). It should appeal to those taking the Lada 4×4 on fishing or
hunting trips, who had to turn to aftermarket companies for a similar wrap,
until now.
