The 2018 Suzuki Ertiga was
officially unveiled at IIMS 2018 yesterday. Featuring a classier design, the
all-new Suzuki Ertiga is 130 mm longer, 40 mm wider and 5 mm higher than its
predecessor. The length, width and height now measure 4,395 mm, 1,735 mm and
1,690 mm on tape. The wheelbase (2,740 mm) has remained unchanged.
Suzuki has lowered the ground clearance by 5 mm to 180 mm.
The Heartect platform-based 2018 Suzuki Ertiga has
the K15B 1.5-litre VVT engine under the hood. The four-cylinder petrol engine
produces 104.7 PS at 6,000 rpm and 138 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm. It is paired
with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic transmission.
The fuel economy is rated at 18.06 km/l (MT)/16.73 km/l (AT).
On the outside, the 2018 Suzuki Ertiga features
projector headlamps, electrically adjustable and electrically foldable mirrors,
15-inch alloy wheels and LED rear combination lamps with light guides.
Roof-mounted air vents, wood inserts, 6.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system,
dual power outlets, ventilated cupholders, 60:40 split folding and sliding
second-row seats and 50:50 split wild down folding third row seats are some of
the leading interior features.
On the safety front, the 2018 Suzuki Ertiga is
equipped with ISOFIX child seat anchorage points, dual-front airbags, ABS with
EBD, rear parking sensors, rear parking camera, Hill-Hold Control and ESP.
The 2018 Suzuki is now available to pre-order in
Indonesia. The 2018 Maruti Ertiga’s launch is said to take place in August.
