Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd (SMIPL) has launched
the Suzuki GSX-S750 in the country at an ex-showroom, New Delhi price of INR
7,45,000.
The Suzuki GSX-S750 is the brand’s first sub-1,000
cc big-bike in the country, and is the second CKD product after the Hayabusa.
The Japanese brand showcased the motorcycle at the 2018 Auto Expo in February.
Featuring a chiselled fuel tank, vented front fender, light rear fender,
moulded mirrors, and angular tail section with integrated LED taillight, the
bike bears the moniker ‘Apex Predator’.
The motorcycle draws power from a 749 cc in-line four-cylinder
DOHC engine with liquid cooling and fuel injection. Pairing with a 6-speed
transmission, it generates 84 kW at 10,500 rpm, and 81 Nm at 9,000 rpm. The
bike features Suzuki Easy Start System for convenient starts, and a three-mode
traction control system. Mode one is for sport riding; mode two for typical
road conditions, and mode three delivers maximum traction control when riding
in poor conditions. Apart from these, there is also the low-rpm assist for easy
manoeuvring in traffic.
The Suzuki GSX-S750 rides on KYB upside down front
fork and a link-type monoshock both with adjustable preload. Brakes include
twin petal discs up front and a single petal disc at the rear with dual-channel
ABS. The bike is available in two colour variants – Metallic Triton Blue/Glass
Sparkle Black and Glass Sparkle Black/Candy Daring Red. Its primary competitor
in the segment would be the Triumph Street Triple S.
