India Yamaha Motor (IYM) has launched the 2018
Yamaha Fascino in the country at an ex-showroom, Delhi price of INR 54,593.
The 2018 Yamaha Fascino features a refreshed front
fascia with new Fascino emblem and sleeker chrome garnish. There are new
graphics on the front and sides of the bodywork, and the seat covers get
premium dual tone finish. They have raised the pillion grab rail for better
aesthetics. The scooter is available in seven colours: Glamorous Gold; Dapper
Blue; Beaming Blue; Dazzling Grey; Sizzling Cyan; Spotlight White, and Sassy
Cyan.
The 2018 Yamaha Fascino employs the same 113 cc SOHC
engine as the previous generation scooter. The “BLUE CORE” engine makes 7.1 PS
at 7,500 rpm, and 8.1 Nm at 5,000 rpm pairing with an automatic transmission.
Blue Core technology helps in Increasing combustion efficiency (combustion
control); increasing cooling efficiency, and also reducing power loss.
The underbone frame rides on a telescopic front fork
and a single rear shock-absorber. The 10-inch wheels are shod with 90-section
tubeless tyres. Brakes include drum units on both ends. The underseat cargo
capacity stands at 21 litres; and the scooter weighs 103 kg, kerb. One of the
main rivals of the 2018 Yamaha Fascino is the newly launched Honda Activa 5G.
