Honda is launching the 2019 Fit in the US market, set to arrive at dealerships on April 30. The popular Honda
Fit is priced from US$ 17,080 MSRP, including a US$ 890 destination and handling fee,
which is exactly the same with last year’s model.
The small Honda continues to offer unparalleled
versatility and a city-friendly character, aided by the standard six-speed
manual gearbox. The 2019 range includes the entry-level Fit LX, the
aggressive-looking Fit Sport, the upgraded Fit EX and the more luxurious Fit
EX-L.
The 2019 Honda Fit can also be fitted with the
company’s Sensing suite of driver assistance technologies that include systems
like Adaptive Cruise Control, Collision Mitigation Braking System, Forward
Collision Warning, Lane Keeping Assist System and Road Departure Mitigation
with Lane Departure Warning.
All Fit models come equipped with features like a
rearview camera, Bluetooth, auto on-off headlights and LED taillights.
Customers have eight available color options: Helios Yellow Pearl, Orange Fury,
Lunar Silver Metallic, Modern Steel Metallic, Crystal Black Pearl, Milano Red,
Aegean Blue Metallic, and the new Platinum White Pearl.
Thanks to its clever packaging, such as having the
fuel tank underneath the front-row seats, the 2019 Honda Fit continues offering
an impressive cargo capacity, with a class-leading 52.7 cubic feet of space
available with the rear seats folded down.
Sport models and up also come with a seven-inch
infotainment system that features a high-resolution touchscreen display, Apple Car
Play and Android Auto.
The engine remains unchanged, meaning a 1.5-liter
i-VTEC four-cylinder unit with 130 hp and 114 lb.-ft. of torque. The 2019 Honda
Fit carries an EPA fuel economy rating of 29/36/31 mpg (city/highway/combined)3
for the manual transmission, and 33/40/36 mpg for CVT models.
