Honda has revealed the 2019 Honda PCX150 for the
United States market. The scooter will be available from July 2018. Prices
start from USD 3,999 for the ABS version and USD 3,699 for the non-ABS version.
The 2019 Honda PCX features a new frame; revised
intake and exhaust system; multiple comfort-enhancing features, and optional
ABS. Honda has redesigned the body panels and have equipped the scooter with an
all-LED lighting system. The new digital instrumentation includes
fuel-consumption readout and clock, plus speedometer, odometer, trip meter, and
fuel gauge.
Powering the 2019 Honda PCX150 is a 149 cc single
cylinder engine with liquid cooling and fuel injection. It features a large air
filter and improved exhaust layout enhance airflow, resulting in increased
power at higher rpm. It pairs with a Low-friction Honda V-Matic automatic
transmission. Honda has reformatted the 28-litre underseat storage for easy
loading and unloading of cargo. The Japanese brand says the new frame
contributes to reduced weight and added stability, for a more
confidence-inspiring ride.
The scooter rides on 31mm telescopic front fork and
a new three-stage rear springs with 3.33 inches of travel. The 14-inch alloys
are shod with 100-section front and 120-section rear tires with optimized
construction that reduce energy loss due to tire deformation. Brakes include
220 mm front disc and a 130 mm rear drum, with optional dual-channel ABS.
