With a starting price of US$ 18,545, VW’s all-new 2019
Jetta is US$ 100 cheaper to purchase in base form than the outgoing model, and is
expected to arrive at dealerships nationwide in Q2 of 2018. The new Jetta will
utilize the German automaker’s 1.4-liter turbocharged TSI engine, putting down
147 HP and 249 Nm of torque, with the help of either a six-speed
manual transmission or an eight-speed automatic.
Highlights include Driver Personalization, digital
cockpit system, ambient lighting, driver assistance systems, the class
exclusive Automatic Post-Collision Braking system and a transferable warranty
that provides coverage for six years or 72,000 miles (115,872 km). VW will
offer the car in S, SE, R-Line, SEL and SEL Premium grades, and we’re going to
run through each of them:
