General Motors is tapping deeper and deeper into the
Chinese car market, and its latest offering is the Baojun 360. The estate with
a very high roofline is marketed as a minivan, with 4,615 mm in
length, and a 2,750 mm wheelbase. That’s slightly more than what you’d
get in a five-door Dacia Logan.
And we didn’t compare it to the Romanian budget car
for nothing, because the 360 is very affordable, with a starting price of RMB
60,000 (US$ 9,478), which reaches RMB 80,000 (US$ 12,637) in the range-topping model.
Inside, it has a 2+2+2 seating configuration. The
independent seats for the second row are said to offer sufficient space for all
passengers, and with the second and third rows folded down the boot space is a
remarkable 1,350 liters.
GM’s local joint venture has the Baojun 360 on
display at Auto China 2018, in Beijing, alongside the updated 310 Wagon. The
latter features a new grille and headlights at the front, and a rotary shift
knob and paddle shifters inside.
Pricing for the Baojun 360 Wagon starts at RMB
63,800 (US$ 10,078), whereas the top-of-the-line grade costs RMB 69,800 (US$ 11,026).
