Ducati India launched its flagship track-friendly motorcycle, the Ducati Panigale V4 in January. The initial 20 units of the bike were booked out within a week of the announcement. Due to heavy demand, the company has reopened its bookings for the bike.

The bike is available in two variants- V4 and V4 S. The Panigale V4 and V4 S are available for bookings at an introductory price of INR 20,53,000 & INR 25,29,000 (Ex-showroom India) respectively with deliveries starting in July 2018. The introductory pricing is the same as the cost of the bikes in the previous lot. The bikes are now available for bookings across Ducati dealerships in Delhi – NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kochi & Kolkata.

The Ducati Panigale V4 is the Italian brand’s first production Ducati motorcycle to mount a 4-cylinder engine, derived directly from the MotoGP Desmosedici. The 1,103 cc 90° V4 with Desmodromic timing, delivers 214 PS at 13,000 rpm. This makes the Panigale V4 the most powerful bike in the segment. A peak torque of 124 Nm comes in at 10,000 rpm.

Standard features include multiple Riding Modes, Power Modes, Bosch Cornering ABS EVO, Ducati Traction Control (DTC) EVO, Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) EVO; Ducati Slide Control (DSC), Engine Brake Control (EBC) EVO, and Auto tyre calibration. The Panigale S comes with Ohlins suspension featuring the Smart EC 2.0 system with a new adjustment interface, and top-drawer components such as forged aluminium wheels and lithium-ion battery. This makes it 3 kg lighter than the standard V4, at 195 kg, kerb.
