This silver speedy is the new Jetour X concept car,
unveiled one day before the start of the 2018 Beijing Auto Show. The X comes
with a sharply lined body and an enormous black grille, with the Jetour name in
white.
Jetour is a new brand under Chery Commercial
Vehicle, a division of Chery Auto. The Chinese name of the brand is Jietu, best
translated as ‘Victory Road’. Their first car is the Jetour X70, and they have
plans for 10 cars more.
The Jetour X previews a full electric SUV that will
be launched in 2022. It will be based on Chery’s new iPeL electric-vehicle
platform. iPeL stands for: Intelligent, Platform, network new Energy, Light.
The production version of the Jetour X will have a range of 500 kilometers. No
other specifications were announced.
