The KTM 250 Duke Special Edition has been launched
in Thailand for THB 179,900.
The bike was showcased at the 2018 Bangkok
International Motor Show in Thailand. The KTM 250 Duke Special Edition features
a funky graphics on the bodywork, and multicoloured rim stickers. The headlight
assembly is sleeker, and is reminiscent of the 690 Duke. In the Thailand
market, the bike has not undergone a generational design change like the one in
India. The handlebar features hand-guards, and the indicators are LED. The
digital instrumentation is similar to the one in the Indian model.
The bike comes with engine protection bars with
frame sliders as well. Powering the motorcycle is a 248.8 cc single cylinder
engine with liquid cooling and fuel injection. Pairing with a 6-speed gearbox,
the mill makes 29.91 PS of power and 24 Nm of torque. The trellis frame rides
on WP upside-down front fork and WP monoshock at the rear. The alloy wheels are
shod with 110-section front and 150-section rear rubber.
In the Thai market,
one of its primary competitors would be the Kawasaki Z250, which is THB 25,900
less expensive, at THB 154,000.
