Mercedes all-new AMG-powered G63 is officially on sale in the UK, with prices starting from £ 143,305 (US$ 202,909) for the regular G63, whereas a special ‘Edition 1’ model can be had from £ 164,495 (US$ 232,913).

Powered by AMG’s 4.0-liter V8 petrol unit, good for 585 PS and 850 Nm of torque, the all-new G63 is capable of hitting 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds, before maxing out at 220 km/h, or 240 km/h if you go for the optional AMG Driver’s Package.


UK buyers will enjoy standard equipment such as the 12.3-inch digital cockpit display, as well as the 12.3-inch infotainment display, 64-color ambient lighting, Thermatronic three-zone climate control or the Burmester surround sound system.

Meanwhile, Parktronic with 360°camera, multibeam LED headlights with Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus, an electric sunroof, AMG sports exhaust, 20-inch titanium grey alloys, AMG Ride Control suspension, high-performance brakes and smartphone integration are also standard.


Choose the ‘Edition 1’ model instead and you gain the AMG Night Package, 22-inch matte black alloys with red pepper rims, Winter package, AMG Exclusive nappa leather upholstery in black with red inserts and contrast stitching, the Active Multicontour Seat package and ‘Edition 1’ badging.

The AMG Night Pack, standard on the Edition 1, is a £ 2,700 (US$ 3,823) optional extra on the regular G63 and includes 21-inch alloys (22-inch also available at a cost), and Obsidian Black exterior details. As for the Winter package, it costs £ 1,750 (US$ 2,478) on the regular G63 and adds a heated windscreen and an auxiliary heater (with remote control).
