The India-bound Toyota Yaris sedan is now available
in Indonesia as the New Toyota Vios. The sedan’s prices start at IDR
291,000,000.
Indonesia’s new Toyota Vios is identical to
Thailand’s Toyota Yaris Ativ and India’s Toyota Yaris. Under the hood, there’s
still the 1.5-litre Dual VVT-i petrol engine that produces 107 PS at 6,000 rpm
and 14.3 kg.m (140 Nm) of torque at 4,200 rpm. It is paired with a 5-speed
manual transmission or a continuously variable transmission. The CVT model is
equipped with paddle shifters and switchable drive modes (Eco and Sport), same
as the India-bound car.
Projector headlamps with a LED light guide, LED
DRLs, 16-inch two-tone alloy wheels, LED rear combination lamps and Shark-fin
antenna are among the main exterior features of the new Toyota Vios. The
model’s interior has a dual-tone beige/black colour scheme. Equipment
highlights are automatic climate control, multifunction leather steering wheel,
Optitron combination meter with colour MID, 7-inch touchscreen entertainment
system with DVD input, Miracast and six speakers. On the safety front, Toyota
offers 7 airbags, ABS with EBD and BA, HSA and VSC.
The Toyota Yaris sedan will go up for pre-orders in
India on 22 April. Its market launch is on 18 May.
