Rolls-Royce it’s getting darker still
with the new Adamas Collection. Available on either the Wraith coupe or Dawn
convertible, the Adamas limited editions take the black treatment even further.
As the first Black Badge editions to feature a two-tone paintjob, the Adamas
Collection is offered with either an Aphrodite Red or a Morpheus Blue upper,
plus the black lower bodywork.
The grille features black vanes, and it’s topped by
a first-of-its-kind Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament machined from
aerospace-grade carbon fiber. That piece alone, we’re told, takes 68 hours of
produce, sitting atop a titanium base.
The treatment continues inside where you can choose
either a Mandarin Orange or a Cobalt Blue theme. These are lighter versions of
the exterior paintjob, with a unique pearlescent effect. The dashboard clock is
framed in 88 black, laboratory-made diamonds on a carbon back-plate, while the
starlight headliner (in the Wraith) has been reconfigured to mimic the
molecular structure of carbon turning into diamond.
Only 40 examples of the Wraith and 30 of the Dawn
will be made as part of the Adamas Collection. And as is typically the case
with these ultra-exclusive Rollers, if you have to ask what the price is, you
probably can’t afford one.
