This is the new Traum Meet 3, another SUV that will
be sold in China real soon. If you haven’t heard of Traum before, the carmaker
is actually part of Zotye Auto, and its products are aimed at younger car
buyers.
The Meet 3 is based on the Zotye SR7, and is powered by a 1.5 litre
turbocharged engine. The mill makes 147 hp and 207 Nm of torque, paired with
either a five-speed manual or CVT. Dimension-wise, the Meet 3 measures 4,530 mm
long, 1,838 mm wide and 1,610 mm tall, with a wheelbase spanning 2,685 mm.
That’s all pretty rudimentary by today’s standards,
and might not be appealing to the youthful crowd that Traum is targeting.
Thankfully, the equipment list comes with something that the Chinese carmaker
believes young people love doing; and that something is singing.
The Meet 3 comes with a built-in karaoke system
that is fitted as standard from the factory. The system is part of the car’s
OnlyMic infotainment system, which is also connected to an eight-inch
touchscreen and a 12-speaker Pioneer sound system. There’s even a Traum-branded
wireless microphone and you can add songs via USB or Bluetooth, as CarNewsChina
reports.
Aside from the mobile KTV system, the kit list also
includes a panoramic sunroof, LED headlamps, ambient lighting, a seven-inch
display for the instrument cluster, dual-zone automatic air-conditioning and
keyless operation.
There’s a strong hint of Mercedes-Benz GLA in the
Meet 3’s styling, seen in both the exterior and interior of the vehicle. Of
course, the GLA doesn’t have a mobile KTV system, so the Meet 3 has the
advantage in that very specific aspect.
When it goes on sale, the Meet 3 will reportedly be
priced between 80,000 and 120,000 yuan.
