Volkswagen has silently introduced the VW Ameo Pace
in India. The product is listed on the official Volkswagen India website.
As per the official website, notable features of the
VW Ameo Pace include glossy black ORVM, glossy black boot lip spoiler, and
cruise control. Judging by the image shared, the lack of fog lamps and chrome
on the front bumper suggests that the Ameo Pace is based on the Comfortline
grade. However, it does get 15-inch alloy wheels.
Volkswagen has not mentioned any other details
regarding the Ameo Pace. According to a report by Autocar India, it comes with
a 1.0 L MPI naturally aspirated three-cylinder petrol engine that develops 76
PS and 95 Nm of torque. The report states that like the Polo, this 1.0 L mill
has replaced the 1.2 L MPI petrol engine the Ameo was launched with.
The price of the Volkswagen Ameo Pace is listed as
INR 6.10 lakhs (ex-showroom). The fine print on the VW website states that
“Price mentioned is ex-showroom for Ameo Pace highline petrol manual”.
