Though short-lived, the brief era of board-track
racing was one that indeed drew considerable attention from American motorcycle
enthusiasts, as well as the likes of Indian who – in response – built out this
twin board-track racer for the competition.
As a century-old build, this original 1918 model was
at the time dissembled for safe-keeping. Now, the fully restored and
reassembled motorcycle is up for sale and boasts a majority of its original
parts – with the exception of the gas tank, handlebars, two pistons, front fork
and the rear stand. And while these components were rebuilt during the
restoration process, all boast the original specs. However, other elements of
the bike – including the frame, motor, seat, front rim, and tires – remain
entirely original making this one fine rare collector’s item.
