After unveiling the Datsun Cross in January this
year, Datsun has readied a facelift for the Datsun Go. The 2018 Datsun Go was
recently spied completely undisguised in Indonesia, courtesy Autonetmagz.
The facelifted Datsun Go features a sharper design
for its lower air intake, tweaked headlamps, new exterior mirrors with
integrated turn signals, new, five-twin-spoke alloy wheels and new bumpers.
Datsun Indonesia will continue offering a sporty bodykit comprising underbody
spoilers, side skirts and roof spoiler. The rear parking sensors sit a little
higher in the new model. Inside, there’s a new instrument panel borrowed from
the Datsun Cross. The crossover’s 6.75-inch touchscreen infotainment system has
not made it to the hatchback, and the JVC-made single-din audio system
continues serving.
The Datsun Go is expected to soldier on with the
HR12DE 1.2L three-cylinder petrol engine that produces 68 PS and 104 Nm of
torque post facelift. A 5-speed manual transmission is standard. Datsun will
introduce a CVT option with the mid-cycle refresh. CVT models will carry a
badge on the tailgate, as seen in one spy shot.
The new Datsun Go is said to hit the Indonesian
market on 7 May. Its Indian launch could conclude later in the year.
