Ford has launched the 2018 Ford EcoSport Signature Edition in India, with prices starting at INR 10.40 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The new addition to the facelifted Ford EcoSport range is a limited-run model, although Ford hasn’t specified how many units or until when it plans to offer.

The new Signature Edition is essentially an optional pack on the new Ford EcoSport’s Titanium grade. The Signature Edition has more aggressive styling compared to the regular EcoSport Titanium. Ford offers it with a gloss black front grille with chrome surrounds, smoked headlamps, black fog lamp bezels, unique 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, Signature decals, black roof rails and a sporty rear spoiler. Another addition to the list of exterior features is an electric sunroof.

The new Ford EcoSport Signature Edition has some changes on the inside too. For a sportier styling, its interior has an Anodised Blue theme. Key features include Conquer Blue seat stitching, blue accents on the centre console and instrument panel, black-painted sporty alloy pedals and leather steering wheel and gearshift knob.

The new Signature Edition is not only more stylish than the Titanium grade, but also safer. In addition to ABS with EBD, dual front airbags, reverse parking sensors and rear-view camera, it is equipped with Emergency Brake Assist (EBA), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control System(TCS), and Hill Launch Assist (HLA).

The 2018 Ford EcoSport Signature Edition is available with two engine options: 1.5L Ti-VCT petrol and 1.5L TDCi diesel. The naturally aspirated three-cylinder petrol engine produces 123 PS at 6,500 rpm and 150 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm. It is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The optional 6-speed automatic transmission is unavailable. The 1.5L turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine develops 100 PS at 3,750 rpm and 205 Nm of torque at 1,750-3,250 rpm. It is coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission.
