The 2018 Hyundai i20 Active has been listed on the
company’s official website. The i20 based crossover only minor cosmetic
exterior and interior revisions. Prices start INR 6,99,990 (ex-showroom Delhi)
onwards.
The most prominent exterior update includes the
addition of a new blue and white dual tone paint scheme. Cosmetic additions
include silver finish front fog lamp and rear reflector surrounds and black rub
strip at the base of the boot lid. Other dual tone colour options, if any, have
not been specified. Unlike the 2018 Hyundai i20 or the Euro-spec 2018 Hyundai
i20 Active, the India-spec model does not get a new tail lamp cluster.
Inside, the touchscreen and the accompanying button
arrangement has been revised and is now identical to the i20 facelift’s. It
gets updated seat upholstery as well and a new Alps blue interior highlights to
complement the blue and white dual tone paint scheme.
The Hyundai i20 Active continues with the existing
1.2 L Kappa Petrol and 1.4 L U2 CRDi diesel engines. The petrol engine, paired
with a 5-speed manual gearbox, outputs 83 PS and 11.7 kgm. 90 PS and 22.4 kgm
are the power and torque figures, respectively, for the diesel engine. A
6-speed manual transmission does duty here.
The 2018 Hyundai i20 Active petrol is priced from
INR 6,99,990 (ex-showroom Delhi), while the diesel variant is priced INR
8,96,205 (ex-showroom Delhi) onwards. The dual tone petrol and diesel variants,
based on the range-topping SX grade, are priced at INR 8,66,262 and INR
10,01,330 respectively. Both prices are ex-showroom Delhi.
