Buyers in Britain looking for a stylish premium
estate can now order the all-new Volvo V60, where spending £ 31,810 (US$ 42,858)
will land you the entry-level D3 Momentum version with a manual gearbox.
A choice of three 2.0-liter four-cylinder units will
be on hand initially, as the D3 and D4 diesels are joined by a T5 petrol.
Within the next 12 months, two petrol-electric plug-in hybrids and another
petrol engine will join the range.
Both diesels can be ordered with either a six-speed
manual or an eight-speed automatic, whereas the T5 petrol comes with the
eight-speed auto as standard. The D3 offers 150 PS and a combined fuel
consumption of 64.2 mpg (4.40 l/100km), whereas the D4 is good for 190 PS and will return 64.0 mpg (4.41 l/100km). As for the T5, it has 250 PS and will average 43.7 mpg (6.46 l/100 km).
Standard equipment on entry-level Momentum models
includes LED headlights, powered tailgate, two-zone climate control with
‘CleanZone’ air-quality system, a 12.3-inch driver’s information display and
rear parking sensors. A 9-inch portrait-style touchscreen is also standard,
featuring the automaker’s Sensus infotainment system.
Inscription models on the other hand get leather
upholstery, powered front seats with memory function, front parking sensors,
Drift Wood interior inlays and chrome exterior trim.
Both specs can also be had in the highly specified
Pro trim, where Momentum Pro adds leather, a head-up display, active bending
LED headlights with adaptive shadow technology, hands-free powered tailgate,
heated front seats and a heated steering wheel, whereas Inscription Pro already
has all that, plus Nappa leather, ventilated front seats and 19-inch alloys.
Every V60 can be equipped with the optional Xenium
package (£ 2,000 on Momentum and £ 1,800 on Inscription and Inscription Pro),
adding the powered tilt and slide panoramic glass sunroof, a 360-degree
surround-view parking camera system and Park Assist Pilot. Furthermore, a
Harman Kardon premium sound system is available at £ 825, boasting 14 speakers
and a total output of 600W. If that’s not enough, buyers can get the more
expensive (£ 2,500) Bowers & Wilkins system, with 15 speakers and 1,100W.
The new Volvo V60 is available to order now,
although first UK deliveries won’t take place until later this summer.
