A lot of the time, when car brand’s release special
edition vehicles, we could take them or leave them – especially when they’re
only cosmetically different from the standard version. Ford’s beautiful and
technologically advanced Mustang GT California Special, however, is another
story entirely.
A stylistic throwback to the original 1968 release
of this on-again off-again limited run pony car, this 460-horsepower GT is
something we could certainly imagine ourselves in cruising down Pacific Coast
Highway. That’s bolstered by the fact that it’s got some very tempting upgrades
– including rev-matching tech in the 5.0-liter 6-speed engine that makes the
drive smooth as silk.
It’s also the first Mustang equipped with a 1,000-watt
Bang & Olufsen sound system and comes in your choice of three different
vintage-inspired colors (including the famous Bullitt Highland Green). This
slick special edition muscle car will be available sometime this summer.
