Aston Martin revived the iconic V600 nameplate for a
special, limited-run V12 Vantage which will be produced by the company’s Q
division. The new Aston Martin V12 Vantage V600 is a customer commission to the
special division of the British manufacturer, set to be produced in 14 examples
split between seven coupes and seven roadsters.
The original V8 Vantage V600 was introduced in 1998
as the most extreme iteration of the Vantage lineup, establishing itself as one
of the most powerful sports cars of its time. The new “Triple V” is based on
the previous-generation Vantage and is described as the ultimate analogue
Vantage. Power comes from a naturally aspirated 6.0-liter V12 with 600 PS paired to a seven-speed manual transmission. The suspension features
three-stage adaptive dampers.
The aggressive bodywork is made out of carbon fiber,
utilizing a re-imagined side-strake, a bulging bonnet and a bespoke darkened
front grille. An all-new rear diffuser and a set of unique center-lock forged
wheels complete the external look of the new V12 Vantage V600.
Inside the cabin combines carbon fiber with dark
anodized aluminum, the lightweight seats feature a new perforation system, the
driver’s instruments are bespoke and the center armrest is finished in
hand-crafted saddle leather. Last but not least the shifter of the manual
transmission is machined from a solid block.
Aston Martin is still accepting requests for the V12
Vantage V600, with deliveries expected to start in the third quarter of this
year.
