Mexico has received a ‘Fan Edition’ of the Nissan
Kicks sub-compact SUV. The Nissan Kicks Fan Edition gets an exclusive colour
scheme and additional equipment.
The Nissan Kicks Fan Edition is based on the Advance
grade of the Nissan Kicks. It comes in a special two-tone colour scheme in
which blue is the body colour and white is the roof colour. It features
windshield, windows and back glass with a safety film that give it a stealth
look. Also, there’s a Special Edition badge on the tailgate.
Inside, the Nissan Kicks Fan Edition model features
blue surrounds for the air vents, floor mats with blue borders and ‘Kicks’
branding in blue and blue door sills, also with ‘Kicks’ lettering. Unlike the
regular Nissan Kicks’ infotainment system, its infotainment system supports
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration technologies. This
infotainment is also a 7-inch touchscreen unit.
The Nissan Kicks Fan Edition is powered by the
familiar HR16DE 1.6-litre petrol engine that produces 118 hp at 6,300 rpm and 149 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. A CVT is standard. The special
edition model is priced at 333,500 pesos and its sales are
limited to 400 units.
Nissan is developing a version of the Kicks on the
Renault Duster’s platform for India and is expected to touchdown in 2019.
