Seat has released a new teaser video of the
three-row Tarraco SUV it will introduce later this year. The video, published
on Seat’s Twitter account, previews the design-driven philosophy behind the
Tarraco and ends with an image of the SUV draped in an orange sheet. While the
entire car is covered by the sheet, key design elements, including its LED
daytime running lights and upper grille, are visible.
Underpinning the Seat Tarraco will be the MQB
platform from the Volkswagen Group, also used by the Skoda Kodiaq. Engine
options are tipped to include a 1.4-liter TSI and a larger 2.0-liter TSI. Both
hybrid and diesel powertrains are a distinct possibility.
Although the teaser video in question doesn’t reveal
much of the Tarraco, leaked images have already shown off the vehicle’s
exterior in full. As you’d imagine, it will look largely like other Seat SUV
models and includes LED taillights with a light strip spanning between them.
The Tarraco is the first of six new vehicles which
Seat plans to introduce before 2020, including a handful of small crossovers
and a new Leon.
